Full-Time Training - Testimonies

My Road to the FTTA, Geoffrey Choy

I would like to share with you how I came to the Full-time Training in Anaheim (FTTA). Although my story is not spectacular, I believe that it is the testimony of many who are here, who were here, and who will be here.

I grew up in the church in San Jose and also spent some time in the church in Los Angeles when I went to college. In those years, I would often attend international Christian conferences, and it was there that I first heard about the full-time training. Over time, I saw many of my peers and even a few of my cousins attend the training after finishing college. My view of the training was that it was a place where people who loved the Lord and desired to know Him and to know His Word further would go. So even though I never really made a verbal commitment to go to the full-time training nor had any life-changing experience that would cause me to go, I knew deep down that one day I would be there. In my experience, it was a normal thing to do after graduating from college. It was like going to high school after finishing junior high or going to college after high school. So after I finished college, I went to the full-time training in Anaheim, California.

Now I am in my last semester of the two-year program here in the FTTA. Having been here for almost two years, I have never regretted coming here. This place has really changed my life, yet in a normal, day by day way. I thank the Lord for fulfilling my desire that I had in college to know Him more and to know His holy Word more.
